The HDFC sec browser app is ugly and unfriendly. But I haven't noticed any major delays. Once you get the idea, it's reasonably straightforward to use. That said, I should qualify that statement with the note that I am a beginner.

By delays, I mean that I more or less get the rates that I see on moneycontrol. Sometimes, like with the Satyam rush last week, there "appears" to be a minor, but reasonably significant delay. But I have attributed this to the rush rather than the slowness of the browser app.
